Coboaters offer a document verification service. The goal is to verify members ID, boat insurance and/or boating certificates in order to reassure other members and at the same time to increase their confidence. Some members will only go on board with people with a verified ID. It is not mandatory but it will help you finding crew mates.
IMPORTANT: Documents to be checked must NOT be uploaded to the web site documents section in order to protect your privacy and confidentiality.
Please follow the next steps:
1- Go to the My documents & Certifications
2- At the bottom of the page, click on "verifications"
3- Select the document you want to have certified: Your ID, Boat insurance or Boating certificate.
4- Enter the type of document you want to download, for example, passport or driver's licence. 
5- Download your document and click save.
Our team will review the document and if it is correct, we will certify it. The certification will be shown on your profile. If your ID is verified then an "ID Checked" label will be shown on your profile:
For your boat insurance, the expiration date will be shown on your boat profile.
